Paul Hobbs Stagecoach Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2004
|Region||California, Napa Valley|
A cuvee needing some bottle age is the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Stagecoach Vineyard. This broodingly backward, deep ruby/purple-hued effort gives up scents of crushed rocks, smoky oak, blackberries, and cassis. Powerful and rich with exceptional concentration and structure, it requires 2-3 years of cellaring, and should drink well over the next two decades or more.
Very ripe yet well-proportioned, with rich, zesty black cherry and wild berry fruit that's fleshy and opulent, turning elegant and refined. Best from 2008 through 2014.
