Stonestreet Christopher's Cabernet Sauvignon 1999

SKU 1051

Christopher's Cabernet Sauvignon illustrates the color and flavor intensity of Alexander Mountain Estate fruit. Vineyards for this Christopher's Cabernet Sauvignon are 2,400 feet above sea level. Lean, rocky, and well-draining soil and cooler temperatures have lower yields and produce smaller grape clusters and berries. This smaller fruit contains deep, vivid color and rich, rewarding flavor.

Wine EnthusiastJust what you would expect from a long, cool vintage and hillside vineyards - a tightly wrapped, dense wine that needs some time in the cellar to unfurl its flavors of chocolate, cassis and lead pencil. Has a richly textured mouthful and, despite some drying tannins, finishes with enough juicy fruit to more than compensate.

Wine AdvocateThe purple-colored 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon Christopher's Vineyard (1,000 cases of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon) exhibits tremendous density, muscle, and power along with sweet black currant fruit, smoke, licorice, and earthy characteristics as well as great fruit on the attack. This deep, powerful, long 1999 will be at its finest between 2006-2018.
