Beni di Batasiolo Barolo Vigneto Boscareto 1997
Plenty of tea, leather, roses and ripe fruit. Full-bodied, with silky, fine tannins and a long, ripe fruit aftertaste. Delicious and fine. Best after 2005. 1,650 cases made.
This is the most earthy and rustic of the wines produced by Batasiolo. The fruit is firm, solid and tannic, with flavors of parsnips and crisp acidity. Already coming into balance, it should develop relatively fast, over the next five to 10 years.
