Wine EnthusiastThis Sangiovese and Merlot blend features delicate acidity and high aromatic intensity. The wine is redolent of spicebox, bramble, forest berry and almond and makes for a beautiful presentation overall. Silky tannins and more fruit flavors render a bright, vibrant mouthfeel.

Wine SpectatorLots of blackberry and hints of mineral follow through to a full-bodied palate, with silky tannins and a medium finish. Caressing and balanced. Sangiovese and Merlot. Best after 2007. 8,330 cases made. â€"JS

Wine AdvocateThe 2004 Crognolo is vibrant and full of life. Open and sweet on the nose, it reveals generous ripe red fruit on a medium bodied frame with excellent delineation as well as finesse. Made from a blend of mostly Sangiovese with a little Merlot, it should be at finest between 2008-2016.
