WillaKenzie Emery Pinot Noir 2010
Wine SpectatorFresh and vital, with a light burr of tannins around a restrained core of currant and spice, lingering on the finish. Drink now through 2018. 400 cases made.
Wine AdvocateLovely, sweetly suggestive scents of mocha, nutmeg, and ripe fresh cherry emerge from the WillaKenzie 2010 Pinot Noir Emery whose more than half new barrel makes only a slight, toasty impression on a palate for now surprisingly lean as well as tartly bright. This finishes with impressive penetration but will need time to better knit and develop greater nuance. I suspect - pending interim reassessment, naturally - that it will be best enjoyed by 2018.
