Chateau Cos d'Estournel St. Estephe 1998

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

A good year. A very fine month of August but disturbed weather conditions during harvesting. A dark garnet colour. A bouquet with hints of wood and fruit. Pleasantly full in the mouth. The tannins are still closed up but they already reveal a tremendous potential for aging. A well balanced wine. Satisfyingly long in the mouth. Maturity: 2006 to 2016.

Wine Advocate"Bottled in April, 2000, this elegant, stylish, graceful wine is an attractive, dark ruby/purple-colored effort with subtle notes of sweet oak, licorice, herbs, and black fruits. While not massive, it is medium-bodied and ripe, with sweet tannin. Forty-eight percent of the production was utilized in this blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2018."
