Chateau Latour a Pomerol Pomerol 2004
|Brand||Chateau Latour a Pomerol|
Wine SpectatorFirm and structured, with lovely fruit and a mineral undertone. Full-bodied and chewy, with a long finish.
Wine EnthusiastA big, dry wine, firm, and not offering much fruit at this stage. It is obviously concentrated, and as it evolves, the fruit will develop richness. This small, 20-acre property is mainly situated on gravel soils next to Pomerol church, at the heart of the appellation.
Wine AdvocateThe dark plum/purple-tinged 2004 exhibits sweet aromas of mulberries, caramel, and road tar. It reveals jagged tannins in its medium-bodied, spicy, moderately tannic personality. It requires several years of bottle age, after which it will age for a decade.
