Château-Plince Pomerol 2009
Wine SpectatorAromas of boysenberry syrup with hint of licorice follow through to a full body, with a dense palate and slightly chewy tannins. Juicy wine, with a slightly rustic edge. But I like it.
Wine EnthusiastThe potential for a juicy, fruity wine lurks here beneath the youthful, extracted tannins. The wine certainly has density, with its rich structure coming through strongly. However, it needs aging over at least 10 years.
Wine AdvocateA big, chunky, somewhat corpulent wine with delicious black currant and black cherry fruit intermixed with some damp earth, truffle and forest floor, this 2009 is round, medium to full-bodied, dark plum/purple, and best drunk over the next 10-12 years.
