This is a wonderful occasion to savour a great wine.Admirable light golden colour. Intense and elegant aromas come to the fore : hawthorn, apricot notes, evolving towards hints of blond tobacco. As the wine ages, there are nuances of dried fruit and rare spices. A silky texture and a subtle touch of tannin give a true personality to the wine. Remarkable aftertaste. A great white Burgundy! The wines are very aromatic with a lot of style and balance. They already show some mellowness which makes them quite attractive even in their youth. 2009 is showing its breed and will rightfully take its place among those vintages ending in "9" in the last century, as well as 2005, 1978, 1961...

Wine AdvocateThe 2009 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Marquis de Laguiche is a beautifully layered wine graced with smoke, butter, hazelnuts and rich, generous fruit. This shows the broad shoulders of this part of Chassagne in its large-scaled fruit and boisterous personality. The flavors build impressively towards the boisterous, mineral-infused finish. Anticipated maturity: 2013+.

Wine SpectatorThe mix of citrus, iodine, seashore and spice aromas and flavors in this white is enticing. Ripe and stylish, with a lemon cake and spice finish. Drink now through 2019. 900 cases imported.
