Cristom Mt. Jefferson Cuvee Pinot Noir 2017
|Region||United States, Oregon, Willamette Valley|
Pale ruby-purple in color, the 2014 Mt Jefferson Cuvee Pinot Noir has a good core of warm raspberries and wild strawberries with suggestions of garrigue, forest floor and lavender. Medium-bodied, the palate delivers a great intensity of vibrant red berry flavors complemented by earth and herbal undertones and structured with ripe, fine-grained tannins, finishing with impressive length and expression. Great value!
Light raspberry fruit carries a tart punchy edge. It's clean and fresh, though showing little density. Additional bottle age (another couple of years) would be a good idea.
Tangy and trim, but well-focused, offering pomegranate and hibiscus notes, ending on a lively note. Drink now through 2020. 8,390 cases made.
