Intense aromas of nuts, cherry and caramel generate great complexity and nobility. A perfect balance between fruit and oak reveals a harmonious integration of the two, result of its long ageing. Lush on the palate, with a mouth-filling presence and crusty flavours of orange tart, and caramelized suger with a lively and everlasting finish. This 20-year-old Port is ready to drink and does not require further ageing. Serve at 16oC. We recommend this 20- year-old Porto to pair with smooth chocolate deserts or as an excellent partner for a cigar.

This has a stylish, perfumy feel, with sandalwood and warm date notes gliding out ahead of persimmon, caramelized peach and green tea flavors. The fresh finish presents a light hazelnut husk hint for tension. Well done. Drink now.

Delaforce is a long-established brand that first appeared in the US in the 1930s though it came on the European market in 1878. The wine is sweet with that fascinating old wood character of an aged tawny. Toffee, spice and dried fruits give it a wide range of flavors. The wine, ripe and balanced, is ready to drink.

The NV 20 Year Old Tawny Port "Curious and Ancient" was bottled in 2012. This old vine (70+ years) field blend was aged in large, very old wood (Portuguese and Chestnut). Seen before but retasted recently, this silky 20 is light in body for a 20, but has some welcome hints of age, along with a bright feel. Gentle and laid back, it is fairly straightforward for a 20, but quite pleasing, caressing in texture and possessed of just a bit of complexity. It comes with a bar top cork. Drink Date: 2015-2040.
