Delaforce is a long-established brand that first appeared in the US in the 1930s though it came on the European market in 1878. The NV 20 Year Old Tawny Port "Curious and Ancient" was bottled in 2012. This old vine (70+ years) field blend was aged in large, very old wood (Portuguese and Chestnut). Seen before but retasted recently, this silky 20 is light in body for a 20, but has some welcome hints of age, along with a bright feel. Gentle and laid back, it is fairly straightforward for a 20, but quite pleasing, caressing in texture and possessed of just a bit of complexity. It comes with a bar top cork. Drink Date: 2015-2040.
