This is marked by a strong herb and oak mixture and framed by a lively burst of red currant, red licorice, dusty, cedary oak and licorice notes. Drink now through 2030. 36,400 cases made.

Dusty plum, tobacco and dark chocolate play against a soft texture in this varietal wine with a Merlot-like sensibility. Black and red currant and cherry mix well on the fruity palate, seasoned in appropriate measures of cedar, black pepper and clove.

A complex bouquet of creamy red and black fruit, cedar, tea leaves and a touch of tobacco leads into an open-knit, supple, ripe but fresh palate. It's a nice introduction to the Duckhorn Napa portfolio, and to the valley's Cabernets in general. Drinking Window 2017 - 2027

There's an herbal edge to the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, yet it has solid intensity and purity to its cassis and blackberry fruit core. Medium-bodied, nicely concentrated and balanced, with fine tannin, it's a well-made, thoroughly enjoyable Cabernet that will drink nicely for 10-15 years.

Mint and berry aromas with hints of spices. Medium body, firm tannins and a medium finish. No reason to wait. Drink now. Always excellent.
