Gigondas offer a rich bouquet, with fine, fruity and spicy aromas and a sunny color ranging from ruby to dark garnet. The nose reveals a bouquet of red fruits and very ripe black fruits. On the palate, the Gigondas is full-bodied with a fleshy attack. The Grenache Noir releases all the expression of its power in this shimmering red wine with marked tannins, a structured body and a great aptitude for aging. Syrah and Mourvèdre reinforce their garnet color and spice up their aromas.

Tasted in early 2021, this elegant blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre offers an abundance of bright, sun-kissed red-cherry and plum flavors. Supple in texture and vibrantly balanced, it's a penetrating, red-fruited sip lifted by a crush of minerality and subtleties of dried sage and earth. Ready now, the wine is likely to improve further through 2026 and hold much longer still.

A blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and the rest Cinsault and Mourvèdre, the 2016 Gigondas is smooth and silky in style, with notes of cherries and almond paste, and there's ample weight on the palate but not that much nuance or length, with a crisp finish.

Garrigue, peppery herbs, earth, and assorted darker berry fruits emerge from the 2016 Gigondas. It's medium-bodied, has a lightly textured, elegant style, good acidity, and a clean finish. Drink this workhorse-styled effort over the coming 7-8 years. The blend is 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and the rest equal parts Mourvèdre and Cinsault, aged in oak tanks.
