A good benchmark for a sweeter Champagne. In fact, not extravagantly sweet, because the fruit remains fresh, giving pear and apricot flavors, and a pure line in fresh acidity.

Lightly sweet, with ripe apple, honey and candied citrus peel flavors. It's round and accessible, with a fresh finish. For fans of the style.

Light gold. Bright orange, candied lemon and peach on the nose, with a faint toffee note. Broad pear and peach flavors, with deeper notes of marzipan and guava. Plenty sweet but also balanced and clean, with good weight and a long, lush finish. For the style, this is delicious.

The NV Nectar Imperial is a made in a decidedly sweeter style. Admittedly, this type of Champagne is not at all my cup of tea, but the wine does offers nice notes of complexity relative to other wines in its category.
