Blended with 6% Petit Verdot, this wine is treated as a reserve-tier bottling. It delivers high-toned red fruit and plum notes dusted with spice and dried herb. It's robust in body and weight and long on the finish.

Pure and rich, focused on a supple core of licorice, dark berry, light cedar, fresh earth and savory herb flavors, ending with a long, smooth finish that keeps repeating the core fruit themes. Drink now through 2033. 4,000 cases made.

he 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Selection is a blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Petit Verdot. (I don't believe the word "Diamond" in the title has anything to do with Diamond Mountain.) Supple textured and slightly softer than the Atlas Peak, with less obvious minerality but with more juicy blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, judiciously dosed with some attractive toasty oak, the wine is full-bodied, rather round, opulent, pleasurable and satisfying. The softness of the tannin and lush fruit suggest drinking it now and over the next 10-12 years.
