La Chapelle Gordonne Côtes de Provence Rosé 2021
|Region||France, Provence, Côtes de Provence|
|Brand||La Chapelle Gordonne|
Limpid orange. Expressive red berry, blood orange, nectarine and lavender aromas are complemented by a chalky mineral topnote. Juicy and energetic on the palate, offering sappy red currant and strawberry flavors that show strong tension and pick up a spicy nuance with air. Seamless and expansive on the finish, which lingers with strong, floral- and mineral-driven persistence.
This ripe, soft wine offers generous strawberry and fresh citrus flavors. A hint of caramel and bright acidity complete a wine that is ready to drink.
The coppery 2020 Cotes de Provence Rose La Chapelle Gordonne is a step up from the Verité du Terroir bottling but only a small one, and it faces a similar shortage of fruit. Tart, lemony and underdeveloped, it hints at underripe melon and peach, featuring a tight, austere palate and a stony, unyielding finish.
