Savory varietal notes of Cabernet Sauvignon are layered with the dark fruit and spice character of Petite Sirah. The bouquet of cocoa powder, caramel, and anise works in harmony with the black cherry fruit signature of this wine. Bright and focused on the palate with a firm and appetizing finish. Pairs well with tomato rice dishes like paella or creamy risotto. Exquisite with prime rib or a dense monkfish.

This blend of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Petite Sirah, 2% Syrah and 2% Malbec offers aromas of black-cherry pie, toasty brioche and fresh mint on the nose. That minty element carries to the palate, where more black cherry and fudge flavors are wrapped in ample acidity and chalky tannins.

Glass-staining ruby. Dark berry and cherry cola aromas are complemented by suggestions of vanilla, cracked pepper and woodsmoke. Broad and fleshy on the palate, offering sweet black currant, cherry and mocha flavors that tighten up through the midpalate. Finishes on a gently tannic note, with very good clarity and smoky persistence.

Friendly and fruit-driven, with a mix of plum, blackberry and raspberry jam notes laced with an anise hint. The toasty back end has enough brambly energy to keep this honest. Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah and Malbec. Drink now through 2022. 39,404 cases made.

The 2018 Pure Paso Proprietary Red Wine checks in as 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Petite Sirah, and splashes of Syrah and Malbec. Its ruby/plum color is followed by a solid bouquet of blackcurrants, green tobacco, and cedar. This carries to a medium to full-bodied red with firm tannins, solid depth of fruit, and a clean finish. It's well-made and should drink well for 4-6 years, possibly even longer.
