There are 1,770 cases of this, which was also bottled unfiltered. Lots of jammy crème de cassis, licorice, charcoal and toasty notes are present in this full-bodied, exuberant, boisterous Cabernet Sauvignon that hits the palate with a thunderous display of glycerin, fruit extract and sweet tannin. This is a big, rich, impressive Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon to drink over the next 15-20 years.

This comes from a vineyard established in 1971-one of the first in the appellation to contribute a single-vineyard bottling of the variety. It features a treasure trove of rich red cherry, leathery tannin and dry mocha on the palate, emboldened by a twist of cedar and dried herb.
